"Coming from nowhere" is an appealing story angle, but far from true. If you really dig, you'll find Clint Irwin's quality from far back. Highly recruited college player (turned down Wake Forest so he could acutally start at Elon.) All American, Addidas Golden Glove, ODP National Championship, NC Player of the Year, Christian national Player of the year, All Southern Conference everything, Lowe's Senior Class Award finalist, best goalie record in Canadian league, led Charlotte Eagles to a deep run in national tournament. The list goes on and on. An injury his senior year at Elon made his pro recruitment a struggle. Let's just say, he's not on colorado's radar screen. So, a lifetime of work to get to this place is discounted as "coming from nowhere." Well. Ok.

I'm not sure Smith led them to the 5th Round FA Cup match, didn't he wait until after their 4th Round game to actually start managing (he was named manager just a couple of days before the 4th Round game)?

I'm gonna disagree with my kindred spirit here. I think those Burgundy kits that Colorado wears are some of the ugliest in all of soccer but this alternate is one of the best looking kits in MLS. Printing the season ticket holders' names on it is genius. I wish RSL had thought of that. Also, after that "Victory Gold" stunt that we pulled 2 years ago, we have no right to tell ANYONE what a good idea for an alternate kit is...

As a long time member of the TA (2002) I have to say that it is about time that the supporters groups team together to create a united group. I believe that in addition to working with the front office in Denver, that the cooperative groups should also stand with, and when necessary against the MLS and Doin Garber. The idea that the MLS would profit from the cup that is shared with Salt Lake offends EVERY true fan of the game. We wish the groups well, and look forward to being a truly united group of supporters moving forward. Well done Colorado Fans!

I like it. Alternate jerseys can be whatever color the team chooses. They do it in other country's leagues regularly.

I'm one of those about 1,700 season ticket holders and will definitely not be buying the new "alternate" jersey. That has to be one of the ugliest jerseys I've seen. I really wish I could disagree with Real Salt Lake fan here, but when someone's right, they are right - to a point, they can keep their stupid colors, I'd rather continue bleeding burgundy.

Soccer teams always use different colors in change kits I don't see an issue with this.
